About the Collection

This collection was assembled over decades with the guidance and friendship of Jan Hoet (1936–2014), the legendary Belgian curator who founded the Museum of Contemporary Art in Ghent (SMAK) and served as artistic director of Documenta IX.

Hoet believed that art should confront, disturb, and transform. The works in this collection reflect that ethos — each piece chosen not for its market value but for its capacity to hold a room and change the person standing in front of it.

We are now offering select works to collectors who share this commitment to the living presence of post-war and modern art.
